  • This guide IS NOT designed to:
    • Show how to assign ASDU to a Tenant, Division, or Vehicle.

How to Get to Creating an ASDU

  1. Click on Administration tab
  2. Select Operations button
  3. Select ASDU button
  4. Click on ALL **
  5. Click on the Create button

Explaining the ASDU Configuration

Step 1: URL

The URL is provided by the Development Team and the Product Owner. The Information in the URL will provide details of the Name, Software Version, Software Version Maximum, and Software Minimum. For example: Highlighted in the blue box in the image below contains the information that would help with the ASDU Details.

  1. This arrow points to the last section of the URL that will be used for the details of creating the ASDU
    1. Keep in mind that for the last part of the digit 00, we will only use the digit that comes after the first 0. So, if the number was 4_93_05, we will only use 5. Hence, the name of the ASDU will be 4.93.5

Step 2: Name

  1. Input the name of the ASDU based on the URL from step one.

Step 3: Software

  1. Software Version: This is also created from the last section of digits in the URL.
    1. The Software version must be 9 digits, so we add one zero to the front and two zeros to the end of the numbers
    2. For example: In the image below the URL shows the last digits to be 4_93_00. Therefore, the Software version will be 04930000
    3. Other example: If the URL shows the last digits has 4_93_05, the Software version will be 04930500
  2. Software Max: The Maximum number will be the software version name with a 9 replacing the last digit in the Software version
    1. For example: the image below shows the Software version as 04930000. Therefore, the Software Max will be 04930009
    2. Other example: If the software version is 04930500, the Software Max will be 04930509
  3. Software Min: The Minimum number indicates that this Software version can be used withing the software ranges.
    1. The Minimum number will be 04000000

Step 3: Hardware

  1. Hardware Version: this is the version of the V4 hardware we are currently using.
    1. The current Harward version we are on is 200
  2. Hardware Max: This is the highest version of the V4
    1. This Hardware Max version is 499
  3. Hardware Min: This is the lowest version of the V4
    1. This Hardware Min version is 200

Step 4: Poll and Status

  1. Poll: This is how often the gateway checks for a new firmware.
    1. The value for this will always be 60
  2. Status: This is the status the firmware is built in
    1. Every mass release will be built in the production environment
      1. This is when a firmware id built for all vehicles
    2. Every test release will be built in the test environment
      1. This is when a firmware is built to test on one or a handful of vehicles

Step 5: Save

  1. Verify all fields have been filled with accurate information
  2. Click save
