Features Definition and Configuration
Cummins Diagnostics
Cummins diagnostics is part of Optim-Eyes. It is an integration that we worked out with Cummins to allow them to send diagnostic messages to our device. We communicate these messages to their backend called Cummins Connect. This platform allows customers to see engine issues, triage the issues, and proactively maintain their engine by ordering parts. If there is a request for Cummins, the box needs to be checked and the profile assigned has Cummins enabled. The image below shows the Cummins feature highlighted in the RED box.
Optim-Eyes
This feature allows customers to see their vehicle's health information. In addition to the Cummins diagnostics integration, we offer two types of vehicle health information that are useful to our customers. Optim-Eyes Chassis focuses on the vehicle health of the engine, while Optim-Eyes Body focuses on the vehicle health of the body. If there is a request for Optim-Eyes, the box needs to be checked to enable Optim-Eyes and the profile assigned needs to have DM01 enabled.
If the customer request to only have Optim-Eyes for Chassis, the configuration steps in the section below will be used to enable the customer access vehicle health information. If the customer request to have Optim-Eyes for Body, the configuration steps in the section below will be followed and we’ll need to reach out to the data-lake team through their email (datalatesupport@doveresg.com) to submit a ticket so the vehicle health information on the body can populate for the customer.
The image below shows what Optim-Eyes looks like when populating Vehicle health Information. For more information on Optim-Eyes, refer to our guide on Digital QC – Optim-Eyes.

Tracking and Interval
This feature enables customers to use our Certif-Eye product. This helps the customer with their Excise, IFTA (International Fuel Tax Agreement) and road usage data. Excise tax is a tax imposed on the sale of specific goods or services in this case fuel. IFTA tax stands for international fuel tax agreement which is an agreement between 48 states and the 10 provinces of Canada that allows trucks to report and pay fuel taxes under a single license. For more information on Certif-Eye, refer to our Digital QC - Certif-Eye guide.
We should always default to Parcel for Tracking and 15 minutes for Interval. Parcel represents Excise, which is how most companies prepare their fuel tax. State in the tracking dropdown is selected if the customer explains that IFTA is used to prepare their fuel tax. We use a 15-minute interval as the default for how data is computed in our portal. However, this can be changed to the customer's preferred time upon request. The image below shows where the Tracking and Interval feature will be modified as highlighted in the RED box.
