Events to Review Information Descriptions
- Camera: This reflects the amount of functioning camera against the total installed camera.
- As we can see in the image below, the camera shows 3/3 which means there are 3 function cameras out of 3 total installed cameras.
- A way to verify this will be to make sure the number of functioning cameras matches the screens displayed for viewing.
- Description: This information is generated by the trigger criteria from the gateway installed in the vehicles. This trigger creates events we review such as hard brakes, hard turns, and hard acceleration.
Note: This section provides information on the event. Majority of the information provided in this section will not be useful to team members. Only the 2 major information explained above will be helpful to team members. Please refer to “Insert name” for description on crossed out information details.
Events to Review Telemetry Bar Descriptions
- This section provides information on the telemetry bar. The telemetry bar is a line bar that provides data on the accelerometer of the vehicle. The bar can also be used to move the video captured to the desired spot for review. For example, the red line across the bar shows the drivers speed across the bar. This gives a clear indication of how the driver accelerates and decelerates while driving.
- The speed check box checked shows on the speed of the vehicle’s progression in the telemetry bar. It is the red line that goes across the bar showing the drivers acceleration and deceleration.
- The speed number shows the drivers speed at any given time withing the event. This is synonymous to the speed bar that shows up in the telemetry bar.
Note: Refer to “insert name” for more information on crossed out telemetry alignment.
Events to Review Playback Bar Descriptions
- The back button allows team members to start the video from the beginning when needed.
- Remember, you can always use the telemetry bar to adjust the video to a desired spot also.
- The play and pause button allows team members to pause a video for review and play the video when needed.
- The camera selection drop-down menu that allows team members to select all camera views or focus on a specific camera angle needed. Sometimes there is a need for team members to drill down on a video for information that is crucial in the event. This option makes it easy for the team member to select the desired camera and focus on the event to proper access and provide detailed conclusions. Please refer to the Camera Selection Options section of this guide to see how camera selection works.
- This is a timer that shows the time as the video plays.
- The playback speed dropdown menu gives options to for team members to increase the speed of the video with different speed options.
- It’s important to know that if the playback speed is used to review a video, it will not allow you to submit your review. Our expectation is that a video should be reviewed at the standard speed for accurate analysis.
- We do not recommend for team members to change the speed of a video. As stated earlier, the telemetry bar can be used to adjust the video to a desired spot.
- This section controls the audio of the event. Below highlights the function of each button.
- The first icon from the left is used to mute the audio of an event.
- We recommend to team members not to mute a video because there could be audio information that could assist in reviewing an event.
- For example, a third-party vehicle hits our customers vehicle at an angle where a camera is not present. The audio from other cameras can pick up on the crash sound which could help providing more details on the incident and could potentially exonerate the driver if litigation is needed.
- It is also good to keep in mind that not all tenants have audio available in their fleet. If no audio is available, do not panic and keep reviewing as intended.
- The other two icons are used to reduce and increase the volume of the video respectively. This allows team members to adjust the volume to a desired sound.
- The first icon from the left is used to mute the audio of an event.

- The infraction in this video is the driver smoking as highlighted in the red circle.
- The event was triggered for a hard brake, but we can see from the telemetry bar that it took 6secs for the driver to reduce his speed from 50MPH to 25MPH. This is ample time and will not be considered a hard brake.
- Keep in mind that for Reviewers Observation, the “Unknown” check box should always be selected as highlighted in the green box.
- Select smoking as the infraction under infraction examples “distraction” as highlighted in the blue box.

Our portal allows a 4-minute window for an event to be reviewed. Once the 4-minute mark is reached, a pop-up reminder appears on the screen. This pop-up gives team members one minute to click on the continue working button to continue reviewing the event as shown in the red box below.
