Telemetry ICP

How to create a new Telemetry ICP

  1. Click on the ICP profiles
  2. Select the Telemetry ICP
  3. Click on the “Create Telemetry” button

Telemetry Template Values Explained

  1. Create a name for the Telemtery profile
    1. Please use the standard naming convention used for all profiles
      1. The standard naming convention is (Name_LOB_Vehicle Type_Calculation_PSV Hardware – Telemetry)
        1. For example: Leck_Resi_Time_REL_Radar - Telemetry
  2. ICP Type: Identify what type of ICP profile this is
  3. Time Between Service Exception Events: This is the minimum time it takes a vehicle to create one service exception before another one can be triggered. This value is calculated in seconds
  4. Time Between Service Verification Events: This is the minimum time it takes a vehicle to create one service verification before another one can be triggered. This value is calculated in seconds

  1. Distance Between Events: This is the minimum distance from one event to another. This value is calculated in feet
  2. Over Speed Trigger Duration: This is the amount of time a vehicle is moving over the assigned speed. This value is calculated in seconds
  3. Service Events Threshold Speed: This is the highest speed a vehicle can travel and still trigger a service event. This value is calculated in MPH
  4. Hard Event Threshold Speed: This is when there is a hard brake or acceleration over the set threshold speed (This value is in MPH)
  5. Click Publish to save and publish the new Telemetry ICP profile

Generic Telemetry

How to create a new Generic Telemetry ICP

  1. Click on the ICP profiles
  2. Select the Generic Telemetry ICP
  3. Click on the “Create Generic Telemetry” button

Generic Telemetry Template Values Explained

  1. Create a name for the Generic Telemetry profile
    1. Profiles are named through the PSV trigger turned on
      1. For example: J1939_DM01_Heil – Generic Telemetry
  2. ICP Type: Identify what type of ICP profile this is
  3. Generic Telemetry Feature Enable/Disable: This shows if any of the Generic Telemetry features below is enabled (ON) or they are all disabled (OFF)
  4. DPS Upload Time interval: This shows the time interval for our Generic telemetry data to be published (value is in mins)

  1. J1939: Enables communication and diagnostics among vehicle components
  2. DM01: Enables the fault codes from the Chassis and the body of the vehicle
  3. Heil: Enables communication between the Heil Cortex and the vehicle
  4. DCI: This communication is no longer in use (we still have some vehicles with DCI turned on)

Data Packet Structure (DPS) Config Telemetry

 How to create a DPS Config Telemetry ICP

  1. Click on the ICP profiles
  2. Select the Generic Telemetry ICP
  3. Click on the “Create Generic Telemetry” button

DPS Telemetry Template Values Explained

  1. Create a name for the DPS Config Telemetry profile
    1. Profiles are named with the changes
      1. For example: Live_Status – Generic Telemetry
      2. The changes made to the default profile is always highlighted in GREEN
  2. ICP Type: Identify what type of ICP profile this is
  3. Live status time interval: This is the time interval it takes for the live status to upload (this value is in seconds)
  4. Telemetry time interval: This is the time frame it takes the Telemetry data to reload/refresh (this value is in seconds)
  5. Sub-System Time interval: is a selection of data such as the communication for grabbing profiles, mobile providers, battery voltage

  1. Maximum Event Upload Count: This is the count of safety events the is uploaded in the minimum period
  2. Media Upload Minimum Period: This is the time it takes a Safety media event to upload (This value is in hours)
  3. System Event Time Interval: This is the time it takes upload system events data (This value is in seconds)
  4. Speed Limit Time interval: This is the time it takes for the speed limit of the vehicle to reload/refresh (This value is in seconds) May be Obsolete
  5. Click Publish

Cummins ICP Explained

  1. Click on the ICP profiles
  2. Select the Cummins ICP
  3. This ICP is configured for Cummins to be turned on
  4. This ICP is configured for Cummins to be turned off
    1. This is the default ICP for most profiles, as Cummins diagnostics data need to be requested by a customer.

GSM Profile ICP

  1. Click on the ICP profiles
  2. Select the GSM Profile ICP
  3. Our Default uses the ATT network (SIM) as the primary network
  4. The T-Mobile GSM ICP sets T-Mobile Network as the primary network

Storage Media ICP

  1. Click on the ICP profiles
  2. Select the Storage Media ICP
  3. The is a sequential way of storing media. The means we store media in the first split section of the  first SD card before storing in the first split section of the second SD card
    1. This is the default storage media ICP
  4. This is a parallel way to store media. This means that media is being stored on both SD card simultaneously.

Tablet Integration ICP

  1. Click on the ICP profiles
  2. Select the Tablet Integration ICP
  3. This ICP configuration allows tablet integration turned off
    1. This is our default ICP for most profiles, as tablet integration needs to be requested by the customer
  4. This ICP configuration allows tablet integration turned on
