Near Collision where the driver could have avoided.

Example 1

  • Truck is approaching vehicle stopped in traffic, shown in red circle.
  • The Blue box in lower, left corner denotes speed of truck.
    1. The truck is going 40mph and is less than 50 feet from the stopped vehicle.
  • Truck is leaving road to avoid collision with the vehicle in front of them in the red circle.
  • In the blue box you can see the speed of the truck is 31mph.
  • The green box shows the camera view selected. In this example it is C2 front facing camera.
  • The truck was unable to stop in time and is now passing the vehicle in the red circle that was in front of them.
  • You can see the truck is still moving at 21mph as shown in the blue box in the lower left corner.
  • This should be scored as a Near Collision – Avoidable as seen in the blue box on the right.
  • There are only 2 out of 3 cameras operational on this truck as seen in the purple box. This should be scored under Equipment Issues if the option is there.
