Tablet to Gateway Service Exception Tablet to Gateway Service Verification

One of the ways Soft-Pak connects to our platform is through Tablets. We connect this android tablet to our gateway device installed on customers trucks, hence the name Tablet to Gateway (T2G). T2G is a functionality that allows Soft-Pak to plug their Mobile-Pak android tablet into 3rd Eyes gateway to share information between the two devices. Mobile-Pak is a software Soft-Pak developed that allows them to manage routes on the tablet and create exceptions and service verification event. The 3rd Eye Gateway is a silver box that is the powerhouse of the 3rd Eye system and is a computer running Linux based operating system. This device automatically and passively captures all the Magnif-Eye and Verif-Eye events, as well as all information from the J1939. When Mobile-Pak is plugged in to 3rd Eye, you get the benefits of both systems, the passive service verifications and the route management of Mobile-Pak.

Tablet to Gateway Service Exception

Service Exception in T2G allows the operators to capture events where a service could not be completed. With T2G, the driver can select which camera they want to pull service exception events from. Since these events are controlled by the driver using the tablet, we simplified our exception codes to terms anyone can relate to such as Not-Out (meaning the trash can/dumpster is not accessible from the position its currently in), Blocked (meaning there is a gate, car or something blocking access to the trash can/dumpster), and other options. When creating a service exception, the tablet talks to the gateway allowing the operator to select which cameras of 3rd Eyes they want to get pictures from.

The captured events are tracked by identification numbers which allows for seamless integration with Soft-Pak. Transaction ID is a unique identifier for an event generated for T2G while Reference ID is a unique identifier that allows Soft-Pak identify the event in our system. The image below shows an example of a service exception event. The highlighted blue box shows the transactional ID, Reference ID and the Reason. A non T2G enabled vehicle will not show this highlighted information.

Tablet to Gateway Service Verification

Service Verification in T2G allows the operator to capture event when service is completed. Unlike service exception, the images pulled is determined by the configuration in our system and not the driver's selection. As 3rd Eye passively captures service verifications, the operator does not need to interact with their tablet to automatically complete stops with T2G. For service verification, the Reason section in the image blow highlighted in blue will be empty as the service was completed. Since this is still T2G, the transactional ID and Reference ID will still populate.
