Driver reverses without analyzing situation and using the appropriate mirrors. 

Example 1

  • You can see in this image that we are viewing the rear of the truck as notated by the camera view in the light blue box at the bottom.
    1. C3 – Backup means this camera view is of the back of the truck.
  • You can also tell it is the rear of the truck because you can see the edge of the hopper and the handrail in the purple circle.
  • The truck is traveling in reverse at a speed of 8mph as you can see in the green box on the left.
  • In the red circle you can see a helper standing on the step of the truck as it backs up.
    1. Moving in reverse while a helper is on the step of the truck creates an unsafe situation.
    2. If the helper fell off the truck may not be able to stop in time.
