Passenger is not wearing a seatbelt while the vehicle is in motion when going over a speed (mph) as determined by the tenant exceeding one of the following thresholds:

  • 15
  • 20
  • 25
  • 30

Example 1

  1. The truck is traveling at 43mph as seen in the green box.
    1. They do not appear to be currently servicing a route.
  2. You cannot see a seat belt across the passenger’s lap in the blue circle.
  3. In the red circle the seat belt can be seen hanging from the side of the truck and not on the helper.
    1. If you cannot see a seatbelt on the helper ONLY score as an infraction if you CAN see the seatbelt hanging from the side of the truck behind the helper.
    2. Some trucks do not have shoulder straps on the passenger side, and it can be difficult to see a lap belt at times if they are wearing a baggy shirt or a jacket.
