The driver makes no attempt to stop at the stop sign, passing through at or within current speed.

Example 1

  • The driver is approaching the stop sign that you can see in the red circle.
  • Even though the truck is close to the intersection it is still traveling at 30mph as seen in the green box on the left.
  • The truck is entering the intersection but is still traveling at 16mph as seen in the green box on the left.
  • The red circle calls your attention to the red telemetry line and that the truck never comes to a complete stop.
    1. The difference between rolling a stop and running a stop:
      1. When rolling a stop sign the driver makes an obvious attempt to slow down but does not come to a complete stop.
      2. When running a stop sign the driver does not make an obvious attempt to slow down or stop.
  • Therefore, this video event is scored as Running Stop as seen in the blue box on the right.
