Driver is smoking in the vehicle. Smoking refers to any device that uses a heating element to deliver a vapor or aerosol for human consumption.

• This does not include the passenger.

Example 1 

• The driver can be seen smoking in the red circle.
• You can also see that they are not wearing their seatbelt and are traveling at a rate of 75mph as indicated in the green box on the lower left corner.
• The video event would be scored for Smoking as seen in the blue box on the right.
• The video event would also be scored for Driver Seatbelt – over 15mph as seen in the green box on the right.
  

Example 2

• In the red circle the driver can be seen holding the e-cigarette/vape pen to his mouth.
  
• You can see the driver is putting the e-cigarette/vape pen down in the red circle.
  
• The e-cigarette/vape pen can be seen in the green circle.
• Looking inside the red circle you can see the driver exhaling vapor as a result of smoking.
• The video event is scored as Smoking in the blue box on the right.
