Guide Purpose:

  • This guide ISdesigned to:
    • Show how to find video request that vehicle needs hard reboot.
    • Show how to notify the customer of this issue.
    • Show how to update video request with action taken.
  • This guide IS NOT designed to:
    • Explain how to send a video based on the request.

How to Find a Video Request that Vehicle Needs Hard Reboot 

  1. Click on the video request tab.
  2. Review date on last contact
    1. If date on the last contact is older than the current date and is more than 10 days, it means one of the following:
      1. The vehicle is in use but not connecting to our portal.
      2. The ignition of the vehicle is not on.
  3. Select the video request with the last contact date that is older than the current date by more than 10 days.

How to Locate Vehicle Last Contact Information

In another browser window, open the portal.

  1. Click on the Fleet tab.
  2. Select the Division name by searching or scrolling through the dropdown.
    1. The Division name can be found in the video request page.
    2. If Division name is unknown Select “All”.
  3. Input the vehicle name.
  4. Select the vehicle by checking the box, it will turn green).
    1. If “All” was used in Division, Search through results to find the vehicle.
    2. Use Division name to confirm you are selecting the correct vehicle.
  5. Copy the vehicles last contact information for email template details.

How to Send Hard Reboot Email

  1. Input the customers contact email from the video request.
  2. Include the ESG Video request email (video@3rdeyecam.com) in the carbon copy “CC” of the email.
  3. Add a subject line using this template.
    1. Video Request # Tenant Name/Division Name/Vehicle Name Hard Reboot.
      1. For example: Video Request# 28383001/ Waste Management/S03405 – WM of the Rockies – Grand County/362752 HARD REBOOT.
  4. Input the hard reboot email template.
  5. Attach Trouble shoot – Guide 2.0 and V4 Hard Reboot Procedure documents to the email.
  6. Click Send button. 

How to Update Video Request Page

  1. Click the new comment button.
  2. Add the first section of the Hard Reboot email included truck number, Last contact date, address and position.
  3. Select emailed from the Request status dropdown list.
  4. Click the save button.

How to Update Vehicle Details Page

  1. Go to the Vehicle details page. Please refer to the “Editing Vehicle Details” guide on how to get here.
  2. Click new comment button to add message to the comment section.
    1. Use the last contact details in the email template.
    2. Hi “Customers name”,
      It appears that units last contacted the site properly:
      Vehicle name: 
      Last Contact: date, time
      Address:
      Position: Latitude, Longitude.
      Hard Reboot Email Sent – Ping Notice Set.
  3. Insert email (video@3rdeyecam.com) in the Ping Notification email section.
  4. Click the save button.
